Rosewood
A rose opens across the whole canvas until its petals turn into skin, into a hip, a shoulder. I let the red bleed into the flesh tones until I could no longer tell where the flower ended and the body began. An eye looks out from inside the bloom, half hidden in the orange and rose light.
