Buonarroti's Wrath
I built this one around a huge sculpted head near the top, the kind of face that looks half worn away by weather, and let the whole canvas turn to storm around it. A small pale figure hangs in the middle with a single thin line of red running down, and off to the side a knot of bodies presses together like they are trying to stay upright in the wind. The title is a play on Michelangelo's own name, Buonarroti, because that head felt like it belonged to him, furious and cracking apart.
