Inspiration by Avatar
This one is pure blue and teal, streaked with lime and cream, laid down fast while the paint was still wet. A crouching, muscular figure rises out of the canvas at the center, half animal, half human, with smaller shapes drifting around him like figures seen underwater. The idea came from watching Avatar and wanting to paint that alien blue skin in oil, but the pose and the tension in it are my own.
