Prisoners in the Torna Fort
Two women lie together in the ruins of the fort, their pale bodies almost glowing against the dark rock and scrub around them. I painted them fast and loose, the brush fighting the same walls that once held people captive. Above it all, a small strip of blue sky, the only quiet spot in the whole canvas.
